The digital camera is now so popular that new features are appearing on a regular basis. Here are some new digital camera reviews to consider.

Kodak Easyshare Z712 IS Digital Camera Review

New Digital Camera Reviews

The Kodak Easyshare Z712 IS comes with an ultra zoom with 7.1 megapixel CCD and 12X optical zoom. The camera also features optical image stabilization and comes with the ease of handling that Kodak is known for. It has thirty two megabytes of built in memory and holds ten pictures at the highest quality setting. It has a built in memory so a memory card will not add to the camera's performance. If you use rechargeable batteries then you will need to get a battery charger as one is not included with the camera. There are a number of accessories with this camera, all of which will add to the price. With a price range of $203-$297 this is a lot of camera for your money with this new digital camera but it's not without its competitors.

New Digital Camera Review: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX100

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX100 is the camera with the highest revolution in Panosic's ultra-compact range. It has a tiny 1x172 CD that holds 12.2 million pixels. Other significant features are a 3.6x, 28-100mm lens, optical image stabilization, a 2.5" LCD display and a 720p movie mode. Like most of these cameras the DMC-FX100 has a built in memory but it is not as good as the Kodak Easyshare, holding only three photos at the highest quality setting. So with this model it is worth getting a card for extra memory. Its battery life is good but replacements are expensive so get yourself a battery charger. The Lumix DMC-FX100 is an ultra compact camera that can be operated with one hand. It is a point and shoot camera with plenty of screen modes. The camera does produce good shots as both photographs and movies - a look at the full spec however reveals that this camera is aimed more at the professional photographer. Good though it is it's a lot more camera than most people need and at $325-$399 it may be more than many want to pay.

Canon Powershot SD850 IS Digital Elph Review

The Canon Powershot SD850 IS Digital Elph is an ultra compact camera it has an 8 megapixel CCD with a 4X optical zoom lens and image stabilization. Compared to its predecessor this model has more pixels, a new image processor, redeye remover tool and a sharper LCD display. Instead of the memory being built into the camera Cannon supply a memory card with all of their models - but, you'll probably need to replace it soon as the card that comes with the camera doesn't hold many photos. The battery life of this camera could be better but there is a charger included in the camera price. The camera also has a movie mode and an editing feature that lets you trim unwanted footage off the beginning or end of a clip. This camera doesn't overdo it with the gimmicks, it has just the right amount of scene modes and not too many manual controls. Selling between $297 and $449 this is not a cheap camera, but probably has most of the features that the ordinary photographer will need.
